Estimating droplet charge in numerical simulations of charged sprays

چکیده

A novel method for estimating droplet charge in numerical simulations of conductively and inductively charged sprays is presented. This based on balancing the effective electric field at sprayer nozzle with global induced by droplets. The approach avoids need computationally expensive local resolution spray formation region, allowing it to be used Eulerian–Lagrangian high-flowrate sprays. validated against experimental data from literature, proving can predict reasonable engineering accuracy, over a wide range parameters, conductive liquids.
